The BI Analyst plays a vital role in supporting the financial planning and analysis related across the business. This position works closely with finance teams and other key Synergist stakeholders to help transform data into insights that drive business value. This role will play a key part in transforming operational and financial data into actionable insights to support project management, resource planning, and business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting and Analysis
* Manage and control new reporting requests. Provide insight and support to design and test new reporting capabilities.
* Extract, clean and analyse data from Synergist and other sources to support decision-making across the business.
* Design, develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports including but not limited to resource utilisation, project performance, financial metrics and client profitability.
* Prepare financial reports and presentations for leadership.
* Assist in financial modelling and scenario analysis for HR initiatives.
* Work with Synergist and financial systems to streamline reporting and improve efficiency.
Process Improvement
* Work closely with finance, and other stakeholders to identify and implement process improvements.
* Develop and maintain documentation for system processes and best practices.
* Capture and document and maintain data flow processes.
Data Integrity and Security
* Conduct regular audits to identify and resolve data discrepancies.
Financial Systems Management
* Administer, configure, and maintain financial systems such Synergist, Rippling, Workable, Prophix etc.
* Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, ensuring minimal disruption to financial operations.
* Support system upgrades, migrations, and integrations with other business applications.
* Collaborate with vendors and IT team to enhance system performance and functionality.
* Interact with workstream leads and internal stakeholders to understand their evolving requirements and recommend solutions.
* Act as the Subject Matter Expert for Synergist.
User Training & Support
* Provide training and support to users of financial systems.
* Develop training materials and conduct workshops to enhance user proficiency.
* Act as a point of contact for troubleshooting and resolving system issues.
Compliance and Regulation
* Ensure financial systems are compliant with internal policies and external regulations.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in business, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
* Experience in BI Analyst role or similar.
* Strong proficiency in data visualisation tools.
* Understanding of compensation structures, benefits, and workforce planning.
* Experience with Synergist or other similar systems is highly desirable.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage multiple projects.
