Ontic, a leading licensor and manufacturer of complex engineering parts for the global aerospace and defence industries, are now recruiting for a Director, AOG (Aircraft on the Ground) & Exchange, this is a new role for Ontic where initially you'll be responsible for establishing a global 24/7 function that fully satisfies our contractual commitments whilst providing a 'one stop call centre' for all out of hours customer enquiries. This role will be based at out of one of our Gloucestershire facilities with an expectation of global travel when required. The Role: You'll be responsible for managing the global distribution of Ontic-owned AOG provisions, ensuring 24/7 support for AOG enquirieis, and delivering exceptional customer experience in high-pressure situations. You’ll establish and lead Ontic’s AOG/Exchange team, setting up processes to log, assign, and track AOG inquiries in our CRM system from initiation to closure. Key responsibilities include ensuring 24/7, 365-day AOG operations, managing the exchange core process, and working closely with warehousing and logistics partners. You’ll also establish KPIs to monitor and report departmental performance, analyze market trends, and manage inventory levels through the SIOP process. As a key leader, you'll be the global face of Ontic’s AOG/Exchange services. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage Ontic's global AOG distribution and ensure 24/7 AOG support. Build and lead the AOG/Exchange team, ensuring processes are efficient and inquiries are tracked through CRM. Oversee the entire exchange core process and manage inventory through the repair cycle. Monitor and report KPIs to ensure continuous improvement. Develop relationships with external partners to source inventory and manage 3rd party warehousing. Work with the PMO team to ensure successful inventory transitions during product acquisitions. About you: Proven experience in AOG/Exchange management or a similar global logistics role would be an advantage, combined with experience of Airline practices and contractual expectations and knowledge of UK, EU and US import and export regulations. Experience in the management of aerospace MRO operations and/or experience in working with operations, supply chain, quality, marketing and trade compliance to co-ordinate purchase orders, contracts, and long-term agreements would also be an advantage.
