We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team at our brand new supported living service in Wem. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals in need, Our client is a 31 year old male who is living with MS and autism. He likes to be as active as possible so the ideal candidate will need to meet these requirements.
Duties
Provide attentive and compassionate care to clients, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times.
Assist with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support.
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences.
Offer companionship and emotional support, fostering a positive environment for clients. .
Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed, ensuring safe transportation.
Requirements
Previous experience in care roles such as home care, senior care, or childcare is highly desirable.
A genuine passion for helping others and improving their quality of life.
Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
Flexibility to adapt to changing client needs and schedules.
A valid UK driving licence is required for transporting clients when required.
Understanding of dementia care principles is an advantage but not essential; training will be provided.
