Flexible Supply Teacher – Reading GSL Education are seeking adaptable and motivated Supply Teachers to join schools in Reading, offering a flexible work schedule. Role Overview As a Supply Teacher, you will be expected to deliver pre-planned lessons, manage classroom behaviour, and ensure that students continue to progress in a positive learning environment. You will have the chance to work in different schools, gaining valuable insights into various teaching approaches while making a difference in students’ educational journeys. Key Responsibilities: Deliver engaging lessons in various subjects based on the school’s curriculum and requirements. Ensure a safe and productive learning environment in the absence of the regular class teacher. Manage classroom behaviour and support students in their educational development. Follow lesson plans and adapt them to meet the needs of the students. Provide feedback on student progress to the school leadership team. Maintain a professional relationship with students, staff, and parents. Ensure adherence to school policies, including safeguarding, health and safety, and classroom expectations. Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification. Previous experience teaching or working in a classroom setting is desirable but not essential. Ability to adapt quickly to different teaching environments and age groups. Strong classroom management and communication skills. A proactive, reliable, and flexible approach to teaching. A passion for working with students and supporting their academic progress. Have an enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
