About the Opportunity
Embark on a dynamic 12-month placement designed to immerse you in both the sales and marketing landscapes of a leading technology company. This programme offers two enriching 6-month rotations:
6 months- Marketing Focus : Join our marketing team to learn how we position our brand, engage audiences, and drive demand generation. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain real-world experience in event planning, campaign execution, and demand generation within a fast-paced, innovative environment.
You’ll gain insights into:
1. Planning and executing field marketing events, from intimate hospitality moments to innovative experiences that fuel the sales pipeline
2. Delivering regional webinars designed to attract new prospects and engage existing customers
3. Collaborating with sales teams by providing the tools, resources, and insights they need to succeed - ensuring they’re informed, engaged, and equipped to follow up effectively
4. Aligning global campaigns with regional initiatives by working closely with the wider marketing team to localise and tailor content
5. Developing and executing customer expansion programs that strengthen relationships and uncover new growth opportunities
6. Evaluating campaign performance metrics to assess impact and optimise future initiatives
7. Using outbound prospecting tactics to boost attendance for webinars, roundtables, and events
Your development:
8. Gain valuable insights into how a SaaS company builds strong customer connections through strategic and impactful marketing initiatives
9. Develop hands-on experience in event planning, logistics, and stakeholder engagement
10. Build confident communication skills to effectively engage with senior leaders and drive attendance at industry events.
6 Months – Commercial Focus : Work alongside our business development team to understand customer engagement, sales pipeline development, and market expansion strategies.
You'll:
11. Grow our database by finding and adding new potential prospects and contact details to our CRM
12. Conduct account research to ensure we maintain a strong target account list
13. Increase the pool of net new leads in our existing database by driving campaign engagement
14. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless customer interactions.
Your development:
15. You will learn how to complete comprehensive account research to understand company structures, buying committees and lines of influence
16. You will learn how the sales development team qualify new business opportunities
17. You will gain in depth product knowledge and an understanding of how to qualify accounts against an ideal customer profile
18. You will learn how a SaaS Sales Process works in fast growth organisations
