We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant FP&A Analyst to join our finance team based at our Head Office in Basingstoke.
This role is offered on a hybrid basis, with the expectation of two days per week in the office.
The role:
As Assistant FP&A Analyst, you will report into the Commercial Controller, supporting the FP&A team in preparing financial information to support Group activities. This role offers plenty of scope for career growth and development.
Key duties:
Financial Analysis & Reporting:
* Support commercial controller with sales trend analysis of Advanced Technology business and responding to ad-hoc queries from sales and commercial teams.
* Prepare monthly analytical reports for HQ functions (HR, Finance, Health & Safety, Marketing) to explain variances against budget, forecast and prior period to senior management.
* Assist in preparing monthly financial pack for Board report.
Accounting:
* Monthly journal postings, prepayments, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations for HQ functions.
What are we looking for?
As Assistant FP&A Analyst, you will have the following:
Key requirements:
* AAT Qualified / Part qualified CIMA or equivalent.
* Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
* Excellent communication skills both written & verbal.
* Some relevant industry experience.
* Good technical accounting knowledge.
* Competent in taking ownership of posting journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
* Good personal, organisational, and clerical skills.
* Willingness to be proactive and make suggestions.
* Able to work to tight deadlines and manage time effectively.
* Actively seeks opportunities for improvement.
