What you'll do:
The main purpose of the newly created Senior Finance Manager role is to assist the Finance Director and lead the Finance function, having overall responsibility for maintaining high quality financial reporting and enabling the business to grow and be financially sustainable. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in helping the business deliver its objectives including business improvements to ensure continued business success.
This role will suit a confident & technically astute individual who is comfortable dealing with senior stakeholders and providing key financial support across non-finance team members. The successful candidate will be a driven and determined in completion of their day-to-day responsibilities, as well as looking to find ways that the business can improve processes and continue to be a success. The role will be fundamentally important to the core operation of the business and ultimately providing a big impact on the continued success of the business.
Key responsibilities:
* Responsible for the day to day running of the finance function, monitoring financial performance and producing relevant reports, cash flow forecasting and month end management account packs.
* Play a key role in a finance system implementation.
* Produce and deliver financial reports to support key business decisions.
* Key point of contact across the business and ability to build strong working relationships both internally and externally.
* Support the Finance Director in presenting reports to the Board.
* Collaborate with the Transformation team to strengthen / automate processes.
* Review, create and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen financial control.
What you'll bring:
* Qualified - CIMA / ACCA / ACA with relevant experience in an FC role or similar.
* Strong technical accounting knowledge.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Strong written and interpersonal skills.
* Leadership skills to mentor and guide accounting team members.
* A keen eye for detail & business improvement.
* FS background preferred
