The Account Manager (AM) is responsible for promoting and selling products and services within an assigned market segment for the defined focus accounts. The AM is responsible for building relationships with the appointed accounts and potential prospects in order to fill up the opportunity pipeline.
Scope of your role
1. Achieve Sales and Profit target according to the defined goals
2. Develop short and long-term strategic sales plans for all assigned customers
3. Generate and convert opportunities for target customers
4. Pursue sales leads with new and existing customers
5. Build customer relationships and strategic partnerships, assess customer needs and recommend appropriate products and services
6. Pre-plan and conduct customer visits and establish related action plans
7. Ensure timely opportunity and quote follow up
8. Track, monitor and work to improve project win rate. Utilize CRM for all project information
9. Performs technical consulting and is able to explain and communicate the technical features of our sealing solutions
10. Manage prices, conditions and contract negotiation with the team
11. Provide market feedback to identify innovation trends in order to further improve our sealing portfolio
12. Work to increase Trelleborg Brand Awareness and identify Marketing needs
13. Drive Sales Excellence activities
14. Guarantee full compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures including Quality Procedures
15. Guarantee Contract Review (e.g., NDA, QAA)
16. Assist with quality related issues
17. Assist in management reviews and reports, business reviews and plans
What defines you
18. Technical school degree or equivalent (Mechanical Engineering or Technical Education preferred)
19. Preferably 2+ years of work experience in engineering and/or sales related field
20. Strong people and relationship building skills
21. Strong technical and commercial negotiation skills
22. Broad knowledge of mechanical systems, as well as understanding of technical drawings and terminology
23. Customer driven with a positive, professional, can-do attitude
24. Hunter mentality with a proactive attitude
25. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
26. Strong analytical and decision making skills
27. Knowledge of rubber/plastic products, seals and bearings is beneficial
28. Market and application knowledge within specified market segments is beneficial
