This position supports the release process for all raw materials, intermediates and finished product testing, and supports the testing program for externally manufactured products.
The Laboratory Technician is expected to test and release third party products and raw/intermediate/finished materials or products, have good knowledge of good laboratory practices (GLP), as well as work to daily testing routines and turnaround deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
1. Perform, under moderate supervision, routine physical/chemical tests, record, and review results.
2. Organise daily workload and ensure it is completed in a timely manner.
3. Follow validated methods, use approved laboratory techniques, and perform routine calculations.
4. Maintain and complete legible laboratory notebooks.
5. Maintain awareness of health and safety, and emergency procedures.
6. Apply Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) at all times.
7. Maintain an effective calibration program within the laboratory.
8. Involve laboratory supervisor if problems arise during testing.
9. Be Capable of performing all analytical procedures used for testing third party products.
Key Requirements
10. 1 to 3 years’ experience in a pharmaceutical, medical devices environment.
11. Demonstrated knowledge of GXP compliance requirements such as ISO 9001 / ISO 13485, QSR part 820.
12. In depth knowledge of GLP.
13. Demonstrated ability to effectively work and communicate in a cross-function, multinational environment building co-operative working relationships.
14. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with multi-cultural and diverse suppliers and contract manufacturers.
15. Good interpersonal skills and ability.
16. Proactive and flexible in adapting to changing environment and able to manage and prioritise work and competing objectives.
17. Have strong analytical skills.
18. Have strong written and oral communication skills.
