This role will be a key addition to the business at a critical stage in their growth. As the Demand Planner, you will work alongside the company buyer to support the re-ordering of stock, manage inventory, and ensure effective buying decisions while factoring in lead times and volumes. This role is critical to the continuation of the business’s success, and you will be part of a valued team committed to ensuring customer satisfaction while managing stock levels effectively.
What you will be getting involved in as the Demand Planner:
* Supporting the Buyer in forecasting, demand planning, and ensuring purchase orders are raised with global suppliers and manufacturers.
* Analyzing sales data and trends to guide purchasing decisions.
* Resolving supplier issues quickly and efficiently.
* Expediting and de-expediting stock with suppliers based in the UK and abroad.
* Monitoring performance of stock items and adjusting order levels to avoid over-stocks of slow-moving lines.
* Identifying scope for improvement in key inventory metrics.
What experience will you need?
* Experience in roles such as Demand Planner, Inventory Planning, Buyer, Purchasing, Stock Control, Merchandising, Product Planner, or Supply Chain Planner within the distribution, retail, or e-commerce sectors, with excellent knowledge of stock/inventory management processes.
* Familiarity with international trading and UK/EU customs requirements is a plus.
* Confidence in using MS Excel and familiarity with its data analysis features.
* Previous experience working with suppliers and managing the purchase order process with a solutions and results-driven approach.
