This role is to start in January and continue until the end of the academic year, you will be working 8:30am - 3:30pm.
As a Pastoral Interventions Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Support a caseload of pupils who face barriers to learning, including disengagement and demotivation.
* Deliver interventions on a 1:1 and small group basis, tailored to each child's needs.
* Work closely with parents and external agencies to ensure holistic support for pupils.
* Use Emotional Coaching and Trauma-Informed practices to foster resilience and positive relationships.
* Collaborate with teachers and other staff to contribute to the pastoral care strategy.
* Keep accurate, IT-based records linked to pupil progress and caseloads.
Required Skills and Experience
1. Recent experience supporting children with additional needs, including ASD and Autism.
2. Knowledge of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), Trauma-Informed Attachment Awareness Schools (TIAAS), and Emotional Coaching.
