Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Role Overview:
Gathering data on highway conditions for the management and maintenance of the highway network aims to ensure the safety of travellers, clients, and Amey. This role supports the Asset Manager and Asset Engineer in tasks related to condition surveys and inventory collection, including generating reports that meet specific criteria and adhere to scheduled deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure accurate and effective collation of data.
* Carry out surveys in accordance with the UKPMS footway and carriageway survey manuals.
* Complete accreditation for driven carriageway and walked footway surveys.
* Ensure contract compliance on data quality management issues.
* Develop timely and accurate reports and comply with the relevant health and safety legislation.
* Assist with the establishment and implementation of a programme of condition surveys and project administration as required.
* Undertake both driven and walked highway condition surveys to provide data for the management of the condition of the road and footway network.
* Use of data collection devices (tablet PC’s) and specialist survey software to undertake surveys.
* Ability to work both in a team and on own initiative.
* Management of daily workload and use of spreadsheets to monitor output and performance.
We want to hear from you if you have:
* Valid UK driving licence is required.
* Ideally have 5 GCSE’s (or equivalent) grades A*- C (9 to 4) including Maths and English.
* IT literate (MS Outlook, Word and Excel).
* Specific experience is not required but applicants should be able to demonstrate an interest in highway work.
* UKPMS accreditation for visual surveys (desirable).
