Your New Role
As a Senior NPI Engineer, you will be responsible for the management, control, and coordination of New Product Introduction (NPI) projects from the quoting phase through to product realisation. You will lead and manage multiple concurrent projects, translate customer drawings and specifications into manufacturing data, develop bills of materials and product structures, create operator build instructions and process documentation, optimise manufacturing processes, provide technical support for customisations, offer hands-on support in model and pre-production builds, maintain accurate records, participate in contract reviews, coordinate and implement Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), and ensure all documentation aligns with ISO 9001 standards.
What You Will Need to Succeed
To succeed in this role, you will need a minimum of 5 years' experience in an engineering manufacturing environment, experience with mechanical and electrical assemblies, and proven project management experience. Desirable qualifications include a degree or HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, prior experience in printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) manufacturing engineering, experience in cable manufacturing, electro-mechanical assembly, and system integration, familiarity with programming equipment and machinery used in surface-mount PCBA manufacturing, proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software packages, and experience using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems.

Your contracted hours of work are 38 hours per week, with the possibility of a permanent 4-day work week if the trial is successful. The available shift patterns are Monday - Thursday 07:00 - 17:00, Monday - Thursday 07:30 - 17:30, and Monday - Thursday 08:00 - 18:00. If the trial is unsuccessful, the contracted hours will revert to 39 hours per week: Monday - Thursday 08:00 -17:00 and Friday 08:00 - 12:00.
