Project Planner Duration: 6 months with likely extension Location: Oxfordshire Clearance: British Passport required to start, SC clearance to be obtained post-start Key Skills: A recognised Project Management qualification, such as PRINCE2, AMPMP, or equivalent experience. We’re looking for a Project Planner to join a world-leading defence and aviation organisation based in Oxfordshire. As the Project Planner, you will be responsible for developing and managing individual project plans, while integrating them into a schedule. Your role will ensure that all projects are aligned with the organisations strategic priorities, helping drive efficient execution within a leading Defence and Aviation company. What you will be doing as a Project Planner: Assist departments in developing and maintaining project plans with proper resource allocation, ensuring adherence to project control standards and procedures. Monitor project progress proactively, identifying any deviations from plans and creating recovery strategies as needed, escalating issues to the Project Manager when necessary. Deliver timely, accurate, and relevant progress reports on project plans to Project Managers. Ensure that Project Managers are complying with change control, risk management, and cost control procedures. Contribute to and facilitate the planning and execution of project management events and workshops. Take the lead in defining the future Project Planning Tools & Procedures for the organisation. What we're looking for in our next Project Planner: Proven experience in delivering comprehensive project planning within an engineering-focused PMO organisation. Essential experience in project planning within a similar environment. A recognised Project Management qualification, such as PRINCE2, AMPMP Experience in standard reporting metrics, including Key Performance Indicators. Awareness of risk management practices in projects. Proficient in using the Google suite of programs. Extensive knowledge of project planning tools, including P6, MS Project and Google-based planning tools. Familiarity with the entire project development lifecycle, including formal gate reviews. Experience in managing design disciplines to create and maintain resourced project plans. Strong understanding of Work Breakdown Structures, Level of Effort, Cost & Schedule, and cost management reporting. Proficient in creating and updating Gantt charts, with a solid grasp of Critical Path Analysis. Skilled in resource allocation and capacity planning. How to Apply ?
