About the Role
A leading financial institution is seeking an FX Sales professional to cover large-cap corporate clients across the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland). The role involves managing and expanding relationships with multinational corporations, advising on foreign exchange risk management strategies, and delivering innovative FX solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of FX markets, derivatives, and risk management products, combined with a proven track record in sales and client relationship management.
Key Responsibilities
Client Coverage & Business Development
* Build and maintain relationships with large-cap corporate clients in the DACH region, understanding their FX risk exposure and treasury needs.
* Develop and execute tailored FX risk management strategies, including spot, forwards, options, and structured FX products.
* Identify cross-selling opportunities and collaborate with other product teams (Rates, Commodities, Corporate Banking, Trade Finance) to provide holistic solutions.
* Drive new business development, expanding the firm’s market share in corporate FX sales.
Market Analysis & Advisory
* Monitor and analyze macro trends, currency movements, and geopolitical risks, providing insights to clients on potential FX exposures.
* Deliver market updates, trade ideas, and strategic advice through regular client meetings, calls, and written research.
* Work closely with traders and structurers to develop customized FX hedging solutions for corporate clients.
* Execute FX transactions efficiently, ensuring competitive pricing and compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Maintain a deep understanding of regulatory changes affecting FX markets, ensuring alignment with industry standards.
* Collaborate with internal risk and compliance teams to ensure best execution practices and adherence to internal policies.
Qualifications & Experience
* 5–10 years of experience in FX Sales, Treasury Sales, or Corporate Risk Advisory within a bank, financial institution, or specialized FX brokerage.
* Strong knowledge of FX markets, derivatives, hedging strategies, and macroeconomic drivers.
* Proven track record of managing large-cap corporate relationships in the DACH region.
* Excellent negotiation, sales, and client relationship management skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic trading floor environment.
* Fluency in German and English is required; additional language skills are a plus.
