Job Title: Senior Site Manager – Coventry Location: Coventry About the Role: We are looking for an experienced and driven Senior Site Manager to lead high-value projects from start to finish, ensuring safety, quality, and timely delivery. Working on our Coventry City regeneration project, you will oversee construction operations, directly manage site teams, and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders. This role is ideal for a construction professional who excels in people management, prioritises health and safety, and has a proven track record of delivering projects on budget and to a high standard. Key Responsibilities: Health & Safety: Lead by example, ensuring strict compliance with all H&S legislation and company policies. Instill a “Don’t Walk By” culture to address unsafe practices proactively. Quality Control: Maintain ISO system standards, fully implement SnagR processes, and manage subcontractor performance to ensure project quality. Address non-conformance issues promptly. Project Delivery: Develop and oversee detailed project schedules, ensure site activities align with budgets, and meet or exceed timelines and quality expectations. Manage site prelims and material requisitions effectively. Financial Management: Control costs, monitor budgets, and work closely with the Contract Surveyor to optimise profitability. Accurately forecast materials, labour, and plant requirements. People Management: Lead and mentor a team of assistants, trainees, and subcontractors, setting clear targets and conducting performance reviews to drive productivity. Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with internal teams and external stakeholders, including clients and statutory bodies, to resolve challenges and maintain strong communication channels. Skills and Experience Required: Qualifications: HND/Degree in Construction Management or related field. Experience: Minimum 5 years in a similar senior role, managing large, multi-phase, mixed-use projects, preferably £50million plus Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of construction processes, trade operations, and relevant H&S practices. Leadership: Proven experience in managing and motivating teams, with a commitment to fostering a respectful, collaborative site culture. Planning & Budgeting: Strong experience in project planning, financial management, and cost control. Certifications: CSCS, Scaffold Inspection, TWC, and Construction Management Fire Safety certifications are highly desirable.
