Based on the south coast, this scientific consultancy develops and uses bespoke simulation software to model complex high energy multiphysics problems for a range of industries including aerospace and defence.
Working with their diverse team of experts, you would contribute to the development and enhancement of their software, and its application to scientific problems. You will have opportunities to contribute to cutting edge science projects, including publishing papers and attending conferences. The company places a high priority on employee development, with opportunities to learn from colleagues, training, and the possibility of taking on project management responsibilities.
You will need:
* PhD and a 1st in Physics, or other relevant subject from a top university, backed up by strong grades in Maths and Physics at A-level (or equivalent).
* Expertise in developing software for multiphysics simulations, finite element/difference modelling, or computational fluid dynamics.
* As you may be involved in government projects, you must be a UK national (with no other nationality) residing in the UK for the past 5 years.
This is a rare opportunity to work in cutting edge science, simulating physics that would be impractical to investigate experimentally. The company offers a competitive salary, benefits, generous holiday allowance, and training opportunities. They offer hybrid working with up to two days a week from home where tasks permit.
