Pathways to Employability – Outreach and Admin Worker

Role Purpose: To ensure the Pathways to Employability programme is effectively promoted, attracting new participants and ensuring they can easily access services. You will support the delivery lead and the Youth Employability hub to meet targets and maintain a high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities:
Generic Tasks:
1. Lead outreach efforts to publicise and promote the employability programmes at Heeley City Farm, aiming to engage economically inactive participants.
2. Collaborate with the delivery lead to meet targets set by Opportunity Sheffield.
3. Develop and manage the programme’s social media presence.
4. Build new community relationships and strengthen existing partnerships.
Specific Tasks:
1. Promote the programme within key communities, both online and in-person.
2. Run outreach sessions and meet clients in a range of settings.
3. Manage social media campaigns across platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn, X, and Instagram, sharing via partners and local groups.
4. Attend community meetings, workshops, and outreach events, including job fairs.
5. Engage with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and Job Centres for participant referrals.
6. Provide administrative support for both employability services.
7. Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for participants.
8. Use systems like Iconi to track client progress.
9. Ensure all targets and contract requirements with Sheffield City Council are met.
Skills and Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have knowledge of employability services and experience in community engagement. You will possess excellent customer service, communication, IT, and administration skills. You should also be personable, approachable, organised, and able to self-motivate. Experience managing social media content and campaigns is required.

Hours: 19
Up to 4% pension contribution. 30 days pro rata holiday.
