Core Shifts:
1. 6:30am - 3:30pm
2. 2:30pm - 11:00pm
You will join an experienced team who support David across a seven-day rota. You must be okay to work two weekends per month or, if it suits you better, you can do every weekend.
Outline:
You'll be supporting David*, a 25-year-old enthusiastic young man. He has developed his independent living skills and, with your support, he hopes to continue his progress. He enjoys days out, exploring, and spending time at home gardening. You will support him in managing his finances and developing his domestic life skills. You will need to have your own car, as David needs assistance traveling to and from college and his volunteer job. There is only limited personal care involved with this role, but he does appreciate some help washing his hair.

About You:
So what do you need to do this job? It's not about experience; it's about having the right personal qualities of empathy and patience and being willing to learn. Most of our support workers find they learn a lot about themselves from doing this work, as well as acquiring practical skills in supporting someone else.
You must be a driver with your own transport, which is insured for business use.
