Job Title: Tax Manager
Bennett & Game are partnering with a reputable accountancy practice to fill a Tax Manager position.
This medium-sized practice has three locations and five partners, boasting a high staff retention rate.
The role is available due to a retirement and offers a competitive salary between £65k-80k per annum, hybrid working, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, business travel, auto pension enrolment, and sick pay of 20 days.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a portfolio of 300-350 personal tax returns and provide ad hoc tax advice for clients.
* Develop and increase the firm's reach, expanding the portfolio.
* Review and manage corporation tax returns, personal tax returns, and other tax filings.
* Provide tailored tax planning advice to clients, advising on tax changes and opportunities for tax efficiency.
* Manage client relationships, attending meetings and visiting clients as needed.
* Stay current with changes in tax legislation and regulations.
* Mitigate tax risks for clients and develop tax planning strategies.
* Supervise and mentor junior staff, ensuring their development and progression.
Requirements:
* CTA qualified with ideally 5 years post-qualification experience.
* Experience working in tax within a practice environment, with expertise in personal and corporate tax.
* Minimum of 5 years Accountancy practice experience.
* UK Citizen, no requirement for sponsorship.
* Able to commute to Grays office.
* Well-spoken, polite, professional, personable, and ambitious individual required.
Remuneration:
* Salary in the £65,000-80,000 (depending on experience).
* Hybrid working split, of 2 days WFH and 3 days in office.
* Flexible working hours, standard hours of 9-5 with 1 hour lunch.
