Responsibilities:
1. Collaborative Support: Work closely with the Network Manager to ensure the smooth operation of ICT systems within the academy.
2. First Point of Contact: Act as the first line of support for ICT hardware and software issues, assisting staff and students with their queries and problems.
3. Training & Troubleshooting: Provide training and troubleshoot issues to help users effectively utilize technology.
4. Vendor Relations: Maintain productive relationships with external service providers, manufacturers, and suppliers.
5. Documentation: Ensure that all data entry, reports, records, and other documentation are completed accurately and promptly.
6. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the central ICT team, sharing best practices and ideas to improve support services.
7. ICT Resource Maintenance: Assist in the support and maintenance of ICT resources, including hardware, software, and audiovisual equipment.
8. Ticket Management: Respond to, log, and resolve support requests in line with agreed service standards.
9. System Updates: Contribute to network system updates and large-scale projects as required.
10. Inventory & Orders: Manage stock control for IT consumables and create orders for new hardware and software.
11. Event Support: Set up and manage AV systems for school events such as assemblies, staff meetings, and other functions.
12. Automation & Scripting: Learn to use PowerShell and other tools to automate tasks and support application managers.
13. Daily Troubleshooting: Regularly troubleshoot network issues, system failures, and other technical challenges.
Qualifications:

6. Grade Requirements: A Grade 4/C in Maths and a Grade 5/C in English is required for this role.
You must have the right to work in the UK and meet the required educational qualifications (Grade 4/C in Maths and Grade 5/C in English) to apply for this apprenticeship.
Salary: £12,621 per annum
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8am to 4pm; Friday, 8am to 3:30pm
Holidays: 25 days of holiday per year, plus bank holidays
