We have a vacancy for a Storekeeper within our small but supportive Stores team. You will play a key part in supporting the force by maintaining stock and accurate records for Avon and Somerset Police on a fixed-term, 12 month vacancy.
Your role is a vital one as you will be providing a delivery and collection service for stores items.
Your Main Responsibilities will be:
Receive and store stock items from suppliers and issue stock to customers
Maintain accurate stock records including all issues and receipts on a computerised system
Make deliveries and collections around Police HQ site, and occasional off-site deliveries
Receive and account for all items returned to the Store and carry out stock count
Skills, Qualifications and Experience required:
A full driving licence and be prepared to become an authorised driver of force vehicles
A willingness to obtain licenses to drive Department vehicles (minimum of Category C), or ability to obtain a Forklift License which the force will support and fund
Good IT skills
Excellent interpersonal skills within varying stakeholders, both verbal and written
