Our ambitious plans also include enhancing Brentwood Town Centre as a business and retail destination and delivering new employment land at Brentwood Enterprise Park.
Building upon these foundations, Brentwood Borough Council is committed to reviewing the adopted Local Plan to meet further growth ambitions. This presents an exciting opportunity to be involved in the early stages of plan-making and to shape our future communities.

* Conduct research and analysis to inform policy development.
* Provide professional and technical advice on planning policy and legislation.
* Engage with stakeholders through consultations and public meetings.
* Prepare reports and recommendations for decision-making bodies.
* Manage projects, including setting objectives, organising resources and monitoring progress.
About You:
* Strategic planning or related experience and a planning-related qualification.
* Membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) or eligibility for membership.
* Up-to-date knowledge of the Town and Country Planning system, national policy, guidance and legislation.
* Excellent communication skills, thoroughness, and organisational abilities.
* Self-motivated and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
What we offer:
* A supportive, enthusiastic, and dynamic team environment.
* Competitive salary and pension scheme.
