The Role
The Europe D365 Functional Analyst will be a key member of the Sysco Europe Technology Team, dedicated to supporting our ERP Platform. Reporting directly to the D365 Functional Consultant – Commerce, this role is designed for a proactive analyst who will assist in implementing and optimizing systems architecture that aligns with business requirements and enhances the interaction of Dynamics 365 with adjacent tools.
The Functional Analyst will take comprehensive ownership of the Dynamics 365 implementation, ensuring all project scopes are effectively managed. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with key stakeholders to gather and analyse business requirements, providing insights to achieve optimal solutions within the technical environment. This role demands a hands-on approach to stakeholder engagement and technology implementation.
A significant aspect of the position involves training and supporting a diverse user base of Dynamics 365. The Functional Analyst will conduct workshops and develop training materials to empower end users and enhance their proficiency with the system.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive hands-on experience with ERPs, coupled with a strong background in implementing and optimizing solutions to drive operational excellence across the commercial and merchandising domain.
The role will work closely with the Europe Technology Team, the Europe Market Team and the Global Technology Team, all of which are working across multiple time zones and within a matrix organisation.
The role will be integral to ensuring the delivery of our multi-year ERP transformation program as part of the D365 Platform team.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand and document business requirements related to commerce processes, ensuring alignment with overall project goals.
2. Solution Design: Assist in designing solutions that optimize supply chain processes, leveraging best practices within Dynamics 365 to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
3. Stakeholder Engagement: Foster strong relationships with stakeholders across various departments to facilitate collaboration and ensure transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
4. User Training and Support: Develop training materials and conduct workshops to educate end users on Dynamics 365 functionalities related to supply chain management, ensuring they are equipped to utilize the system effectively.
5. System Testing and Validation: Participate in system testing phases, including user acceptance testing (UAT), to validate that the implemented solutions meet business requirements.
6. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements within supply chain operations, recommending enhancements to optimize the use of Dynamics 365 and related tools.
7. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, processes, and training materials to support ongoing knowledge transfer and system management.
8. Collaboration: Work closely with business and technology teams to ensure alignment of supply chain processes and standards across regions, contributing to the overall success of the ERP transformation program.
9. Change Management: Support change management initiatives by communicating system changes and impacts to end users, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruptions.
Knowledge, skills, experience and competencies
10. Strong experience in hands-on designing, configuring, and implementing enterprise-wide ERP solutions (Dynamics AX / SAP), or similar ERP systems.
11. Proven experience delivering full-cycle ERP implementations, from requirements gathering through to go-live and post-go-live support.
12. Strong knowledge of ERP architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
13. Basic understanding of technical components related to ERP systems, including integrations, data migration, and customizations.
14. Familiarity with Application Lifecycle Management methodologies (, Agile, SCRUM, Azure DevOps).
15. Proficiency in business process analysis and improvement methodologies.
16. Excellent communication, presentation, and technical writing skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at various levels, from C-suite executives to technical staff.
17. Ability to lead workshops, training sessions, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
18. Demonstrate strong communication, presentation, and technical writing skills.
19. Proficiency in business process analysis and improvement methodologies.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
20. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
21. Knowledge of Delivery Management methodologies (, Scrum, Agile, or Project Management) is desirable.
22. Proven hands-on experience in supporting ERP implementations, with exposure to full-cycle ERP projects being an advantage.
23. Experience or understanding of how to work in multi-phase or global ERP projects is beneficial.
24. Understanding of competitive technology to properly assess the feasibility of migrating legacy solutions from, and/or integrating with existing applications from non-Microsoft platforms.
