At London Paramount Care, being a Day Support Worker is both challenging and rewarding. You’ll work closely with children and young people who have complex learning difficulties, primarily Autism Spectrum Disorder, providing tailored care and creating a safe, supportive environment.
You’ll play a key role in their daily lives, assisting with personal care, supporting their education, and organising recreational outings. Most importantly, you’ll help create a home where every child feels valued, supported, and able to thrive.
About The Role
What You’ll Do:
* Provide high-quality personal care, medication support, and assistance with daily living.
* Organise and take part in engaging, age-appropriate social and recreational activities.
* Collaborate with a dedicated team to develop personalised care plans, encouraging independence and choice.
* Ensure a safe environment by adhering to safeguarding policies.
What We’re Looking For:
* Compassionate, patient individuals with the ability to connect with children and young people.
* Resilience and empathy when managing challenging behaviours.
* Strong communication skills and a commitment to providing outstanding care.
* Flexibility to work shifts and the willingness to pursue a Diploma in Residential Childcare within two years.
Required Criteria
* A solid understanding of vulnerable adults or child development and children's needs.
* Experience in working with vulnerable people in a residential setting.
* A Level 3 diploma in Residential Childcare.
* Must hold a valid British driving licence and be willing to drive for the company.
Salary
£12.61 per hour
