The marketing team will be strategic partners to the business, collaborating to design and deliver customer-centric, creative and high-performance programs which improve brand preference, engage more market professionals and underpin commercial success.
The Marketing Manager, based in London, will play a critical role in driving revenue growth for PEI’s key business information subscription brands. The Manager will be responsible for developing the marketing strategy for the brand(s) in collaboration with key stakeholders, ensuring the achievement of business growth targets from acquisition to cross-sell and retention. This role will focus on contributing to the brand’s success through strategic marketing initiatives.
* Possess a deep understanding of the Target Addressable Market (TAM), including detailed personas, workflows, and needs by role types.
* Develop insights into the product offerings across all revenue lines for the brand, taking ownership of digital information platforms revenue line while collaborating with the team to support all lines, including digital information platforms, networks, events (delegate and sponsorships), and marketing solutions.
* Contribute to the development and execution of New Product Development (NPD) launch programs.
* Analyse the growth potential (volume and revenue) by persona, company, contact, and revenue line.
* Contribute to the marketing strategy by providing creative and commercially viable approaches to achieve annual goals.
* Own the execution of a quarterly rolling program of campaigns for each target audience, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality pipeline to sales colleagues (acquisition, client retention, and key accounts) and the achievement of eCommerce targets.
* Execute tailored programs for acquisition and customer onboarding, cross-selling, upselling (account expansion), Account-Based Marketing (ABM) for key accounts & clients, usage and renewal.
Day to day responsibility
* Develop content and product marketing collateral to support sales teams.
* Collaborate with internal Design and Digital Marketing Operations (DMO) teams, as well as external agencies, to create a diverse range of creative content tailored to all stages of the customer journey (top, middle, and bottom of the funnel).
* Learn and effectively utilise marketing technologies, including Marketo, websites, and CRM systems, in collaboration with the DMO team.
* Expertly design and execute TAM-focused inbound lead nurture programs, alongside highly targeted outbound campaigns across social media, email, PPC, search, events, and advertising (working closely with Data, Design, and DMO teams).
* Provide daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports, along with actionable recommendations for improvement.
* Contribute to budget planning and management.
Role KPIs
* Achieve new customer acquisition targets (from the relevant TAM), including marketing-contributed sales opportunities, pipeline value and total revenue.
* Meet targets for account expansion through cross-sell and upsell strategies within Client and Key Accounts, driving marketing-contributed sales opportunities, pipeline value and total revenue.
* Deliver increased usage, engagement, satisfaction, and retention at both the company and individual levels, with shared KPIs in collaboration with Editorial, Events, and Account Management teams.

Experience & Skills
* Bachelor’s Degree - B.S. or B.A.
* Proven experience working in a B2B information subscriptions or membership marketing team.
* Understanding of digital marketing platforms and programmes, experience in creating and leading the execution of marketing campaign programmes from end to end, e.g. nurture journeys, ABM.
* Delivers thoughts and ideas on improving existing activity as well as insight into testing new ideas to differentiate from competitors and grow each brand’s footprint in the market.
* Copywriting – produce compelling copy to drive leads and conversions for their responsible titles and give feedback to the marketing team on their campaigns.
* Dynamic – displaying energy and confidence in all interactions with peers, management and stakeholders.
* Confident - belief in their ability to bring innovation and deliver on the businesses KPIs.
* Forward thinking – constantly looking for new and better ways of doing things.
* Understanding what and how new mar-techs can drive efficiencies and better results.
* Commercial – never losing sight of the revenue targets, constantly tracking campaign KPIs and ensuring that the plans that have been laid out to achieve our financial targets get completed.
