We have an exciting opportunity for a Consumer Medical Director to join Norgine.
The person holding this position will report to the Vice President of Medical Affairs and be a member of the Medical Affairs team.
The core responsibility of the Consumer Medical Director is to provide medical leadership and scientific insights to support the promotion and appropriate use of CHC products, ensuring medical value creation, clinical program development, compliance, and effective stakeholder engagement.
This will be a permanent role with part time options available upon application.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
1. Accountable for the evaluation & defining an approach for Medical value creation at a local level, ensuring clear priorities are defined.
2. Responsible for promoting scientific innovation opportunities across our portfolio through proactive cross-functional contribution to global strategic brand plans or developing product strategic medical brand plans that align with brand direction.
3. Accountable for leading and developing the consumer clinical program, in alignment with clinical development, drafting protocols and contracting appropriate investigators and resources to initiate studies if needed, undertaking the daily medical supervision of trials in their clinical phase, supervising their subsequent analysis and drafting clinical reports, as appropriate, so that the clinical trial program can be accomplished in agreed timelines and budget.
4. Lead the development of material and support/provide the scientific training of sales representatives and any other CHC BU members to develop their understanding of the CHC products and relevant disease areas in order that they can have maximum impact in their role.
5. Responsible for building ongoing relationships with external experts as needed and shares responsibilities with other Brand team members and follows up all external expert projects as assigned within Brand Team.
6. Creating and managing a panel of experts across different markets and in different disciplines to support creating a clear understanding of the expert understanding and messaging and how this aligns with Norgine positioning.
7. Leading on developing scientific endorsement of Norgine plans/communications as needed to ensure impactful consumer messaging.
8. Combining information sources to develop insights / anticipating trends.

Requirements
EXPERIENCE
* Experience within Medical Affairs.
* Minimum of 2 years of job related CHC experience.
* Medical degree desirable; Scientific/health related degree (i.e. PhD) acceptable if supported by good experience.
* A keen understanding of drug development and commercialization.
* Demonstrated track record of building and maintaining a network internally and externally to an organisation.
* Experience in working across and building effective partnerships between business, Medical, and Regulatory.
* Good understanding of the consumer health care pharmaceutical business.
CAPABILITIES
* Strong commercial acumen and strategic ability.
* Ability to understand business needs in CHC perimeters (eg. food supplements, medical devices food for special medical purpose).
* Autonomy within agreed projects, milestones (project management ability is a plus).
* Advanced oral and written communication and presentation skills in English.
* Dedicated and persuasive with “can-do” attitude.
* “Think out of the box” mindset.
