Description Melton Primary School, Woodbridge, Suffolk IP12 1PG £25,979 - £27,334 pro rata 30 hours per week, 38 weeks per year (term time only) Permanent Reference: 6509 Required as soon as possible Melton Primary School are looking to appoint a dedicated and compassionate Pastoral Lead to join our supportive team. In this role you will be responsible for the welfare, wellbeing and pastoral needs of our children (including in-class support), and for managing safeguarding concerns ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all. The role supports children with any worries or anxieties they may be experiencing, together with providing confidential support for parents on issues affecting their child. You will monitor attendance, undertake tracking and analysis of behaviour and attendance in consultation with the Senior Leadership Team. You will support our safeguarding efforts, provide guidance and support to children and families facing personal challenges, and collaborate with staff and external agencies to deliver the highest standards of care. You will: have strong communication skills be able to use your own initiative as well as to work as part of a team have strong inter-personal skills including the ability to use judgement and common sense value the relationship you build with children have a calm and patient approach value our children in their richness and diversity.
