I am looking for a Team Leader for a residential service in Halifax. This is caring for service users with Learning Disabilities, Autism, and Challenging Behaviour, ages between 16 and 47 (currently 4 residents).
Duties & Responsibilities
1. To assist the Registered Manager and/or the Deputy Manager in the implementation of all aspects of the Statement of Purpose.
2. To drive company vehicles - subject to policies and procedures.
3. To work on a rota basis according to the needs of service users.
4. To ensure that resources are allocated appropriately and financial records are accurately maintained under the direction of the Registered Manager and/or the Deputy Manager.
5. To receive supervision in line with CQC fundamentals and to take responsibility for personal development and progress of individual training needs.
6. To carry out all other reasonable tasks as directed by the Registered Manager and/or the Deputy Manager.
7. To deputise in the absence of the Registered Manager and/or Deputy Manager.
You will have:
1. Secondary Education with a good standard of literacy and numeracy.
2. Diploma Level 3 in Children or working towards this.
3. Current driving licence.
4. Knowledge of CQC.
5. Awareness of Equal Opportunities.
6. Mental capacity assessment and DOLS.
7. Ability to manage teams effectively.
8. Ability to communicate in writing and BSL signing.
9. Excellent organisational skills.
10. Ability to motivate staff.
11. IT competent (use of Word and Excel).
12. 12 months experience of working in a service with challenging behaviour.
Shift pattern is 2 on 4 off (including sleeps) at £13.40 per hour plus £32 per sleep, plus on call. This works out at 37.5 hours a week over the course of a month. Salary increases after 6 months and again after 18 months.
