For more information, please visit www.charlestaylor.com Overall purpose of the job The role sits within the CT (Charles Taylor) Group accounting team and is responsible for assisting the Group Financial Accountant with financial operations for the Charles Taylor Head Office functions and associated accounting, including monthly preparation of the balance sheet reconciliations, global recharges, and month end accounts. This is a newly created role due to changes in reporting of the group IT function (GTO) of Charles Taylor. For the first half of 2025 there will be a focus on transitioning GTO month end accounting into the wider group model, preparing the newly designed GTO monthly recharges, and assisting on process/system changes. Oversight, support and direction will be provided from the Financial Accountant and Finance Business Partner. The role will also support the Financial Accountant on wider Charles Taylor accounting tasks. This role would suit a bookkeeper / accounting technician, ideally with experience in a similar role and an understanding of Capital Expenditure Requirements. The job holder will work closely with the Group Financial Reporting Team, the regional accounting teams, the Offshore transactional accounting team, and the Finance Business Partner. Key Responsibilities Support the Financial Accountant with general accounting and month-end activities, ensuring the close is accurate, complete and in accordance with IRFS and associated group accounting policies Prepare the monthly GTO recharges from CTA (Charles Taylor Administration) out to the CT Subsidiaries Timely submission of the accounts to CT Group (via Cognos) Assist on the monthly balance sheet reconciliation process to ensure robust and timely completion, old balances are investigated and resolved, and that all the output stands up to scrutiny for audit Prepare monthly variance analysis of balance sheet and P&L (flux analysis), challenge and investigate any variances including trends and action any outcomes in a timely manner Maintain the fixed asset register and CapEx Projects for GTO Support the Finance business partner with general accounting (chart of accounts, journals, accruals, prepayments, period close and open), and month-end activities and review Assist in the annual audit preparation for CTA Values The Job Holder is expected to act as a role model for the Charles Taylor Values: Integrity Collaboration Care Agility Accountability Ad hoc duties As requested by your Line Manager or relevant Board Director, the Job Holder will perform reasonable ad hoc duties within the Job Holder's capabilities.
