We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Project Manager / Operations Manager to join a team in Cardiff, taking a pivotal role in the delivery and oversight of construction projects across South Wales and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in main contracting and a proven track record of successfully delivering complex construction projects on time and within budget. This is an excellent opportunity for a strategic and hands-on leader to help shape operational delivery, maintain client satisfaction, and ensure the highest standards of safety and quality across all projects. Key Responsibilities Oversee end-to-end project management across multiple construction sites Lead project teams and subcontractors to ensure delivery against programme, budget, and quality expectations Manage procurement schedules, construction programmes, and resource allocation Maintain close communication with clients, consultants, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle Drive operational efficiency and uphold health & safety and compliance standards Support business development and tender processes as required Contribute to long-term operational planning and organisational strategy Requirements Proven experience with a main contractor in a Senior Project Manager or Operations-level role Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently Solid understanding of commercial and contractual project aspects Strong problem-solving skills and a results-driven attitude Cladding remediation experience is a significant advantage Relevant construction qualifications (e.g., HNC, Degree, or equivalent) SMSTS, CSCS (Black card), First Aid certification (preferred) Desirable Experience working with local authorities, housing associations, or on high-rise residential schemes Familiarity with current building regulations and cladding safety legislation Membership of a professional body such as CIOB or RICS
