Job Title: Software Test Team Lead
Location: Cowes
Salary: Circa £65,000 depending on skills and experience plus bonus scheme
What you'll be doing:
Liaising with the Project Engineering Manager on matters relating to management of the team
Participating in the production of plans, budgets and resource requirements for the team's project activities (related to software testing) to be performed in the most cost-effective manner and within the constraints set by the overall project objectives
Taking part in the creation and upkeep of the team's work schedule, which is based on the WBS, the Software Development Plan (SDP), the Software Configuration Management Plan (SCMP), the Software Risk Register, the Software Measurement Plan (SMP), the Project Defect Prevention Plan, and the Software Development Plan (SDP) from a test perspective
Participating in the collection and analysis of project software measurements, and implementation of changes to address deficiencies and deviations from plans
Participate in the project defect prevention activities and the management of changes to the software baselines
Liaising with other software teams, functional areas within the project and in Customer, Project, Engineering and Contract reviews
Training, management and motivation of the team
Your skills and experiences:
Ability to lead a moderate-sized engineering team, managing cost, quality, and delivery while providing expert guidance in software engineering
Solid experience in software testing processes, including testing of real-time systems and use of automated testing tools
Proven ability to plan and report on software testing activities within complex projects
Strong understanding of customer requirements and delivering solutions through to trials and support phases
Experience working with multiple stakeholders (internal teams, customers, subcontractors) in a software development environment
Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience in a relevant field
Has CEng status, approaching that status or equivalent

In your capacity as a Software Test Team Lead, you will oversee the software testing procedures to guarantee that they are precise, secure, and completely compliant through proper planning and administration. You will oversee a small group of engineers daily.
Our workplace in Cowes is an easily accessible commute from Southampton with a regular foot passenger ferry and BAE shuttle service from the ferry terminal to site.
