You’ll make sure they have everything they need—skills, resources, and support—to deliver outstanding customer solutions. Working closely with Pre-Sales, Customer Onboarding, and Service Delivery, you’ll drive efficiency, innovation, and operational excellence—making a real impact on how we grow and evolve A day in the life of our Engineering Manager: Lead & Mentor – Grow and mentor our Network Architects, making sure they have the skills, resources, and support to thrive. You’ll shape training, career development, and succession planning to keep us ahead of the curve. Optimise Performance – Balance workloads, streamline resources, and keep things running smoothly. You’ll also track overtime and out-of-hours commitments to make sure your team stays productive and happy. Get It Right First Time – Improve engineering processes to cut errors and inefficiencies. You’ll use Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to fix issues at the source and keep raising the bar. Drive Service Excellence – Keep SLAs on point, provide technical escalation for NOC and Pre-Sales, and oversee 24/7 support coverage. You’ll also fine-tune service improvements to keep customers happy. Push Continuous Improvement – Use data and insights to boost performance, drive innovation, and eliminate inefficiencies. Be a key player - As Duty Manager on a rota basis, you’ll take charge during major service outages, keeping things running smoothly. What You Bring: 5 years’ experience or providing operational management across technical or engineering teams. Strong expertise in working with engineering teams with skills across LAN/WAN Networking & Infrastructure. Proven ability to manage and mentor teams of 10 technical experts. A strong track record in resource planning & optimisation. Familiarity with ServiceNow (or similar) and data analysis tools like Excel & PowerBI. Certifications in CCNA, Lean Six Sigma or ITIL would be beneficial. Ability to cover out-of-hours on-call commitments. Security Clearances: BPSS, SC (required).
