We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Logistics Team Leader to join our existing team at/in Leeds.
The Role:
Assist the team leader in managing Logistics/warehouse Staff on a day-to-day basis. Organise staff so all required functions are covered, throughout the shift patterns.
Responsibilities:
* Ensure all supplier deliveries are processed within a working day.
* Support team leader & manager in day to day running.
* Process all work through company IT systems accurately.
* Report issues to correct department via email.
* Liaise with other departments.
* Housekeeping
* Other duties requested by line manager.
* Assist in training new staff members
* Take part in pre-planned stock takes and other tasks outside of standard working hours (paid at relevant overtime rate or time can be claimed back in lieu)
* Ad hoc stock counts.
* Respond to and send email where necessary.
* Check and process transport invoices
* Write Standard operating procedures as required
* Advise on export documentation
What we are looking for:
Education, Training and Experience Requirements:
* Management training is preferable but on the job training will be given for the right candidate
* Experience in ERP systems.
* Experience Leading a Team (manufacturing preferable)
* Full driving licence
