The Role:
Reporting to the Head of Finance at Saab UK, this role is responsible for producing accounts and contributing to Saab UK operations. The role provides strong financial and commercial support to the management team at Saab Seaeye.
Key Responsibilities:
* Extracting and analysing financial data to support budgeting, project costings, and margin calculations.
* Collaborating with the Finance team to ensure effective financial control and oversight.
* Managing cash flow and working capital to maintain financial stability.
* Producing accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly management reports, statutory financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
* Meeting all financial reporting requirements to support informed decision-making.
* Providing support and guidance to the finance team and encouraging collaboration.
* Managing relationships with stakeholders and external advisers.
* Working with the Financial Controller and management to set financial targets, KPIs, and budgets aligned with strategic goals.
* Ensuring robust financial controls in line with Saab ICM requirements and approval processes.
* Maintaining registers of financial commitments, leases, and contracts.
* Handling daily tasks such as month-end closing, payroll journals, reconciliations, cost calculations, provisions, and asset management.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Degree or equivalent qualification.
* Experience in accounting or management accounting.
