You will need to be a dedicated and innovative practitioner who is able to work effectively with students, aged 3-19 with complex needs. This is an exciting opportunity for you to bring your knowledge, experience, enthusiasm and initiative to a specialist school setting. You will have the opportunity to assess and support students on their journey through the school and witness their growth and development first hand. Previous experience working with children and young people with Autism is essential. All support, guidance and great future career prospects will be available to the successful candidate. For the post advertised, you must: • Meet the Person Specification criteria: - Post Graduate in Counselling and / or Psychotherapy - Registered with the BACP or UKCRP (or eligible for registration) - Evidence of comprehensive CPD relevant to the role - Ability to relate psychological theory and practice to an educational - Sound appreciation of the application of counselling and psychotherapy practices within an educational context - Knowledge of a range of counselling and psychotherapy techniques - Ability to communicate with other professionals in order to coordinate effective service provision - Excellent interpersonal and reflective listening skills - Critical appreciation of recent developments in counselling and psychotherapy - Able to demonstrate sound, balanced judgement, decisiveness and flexibility - Demonstrable experience of working with children and young people in educational settings - Supporting children and young people with autism - Planning own workload and evaluating and managing a caseload - Design and delivery of training to others • Be able to meet key accountabilities set out in Job Description • Have experience working with students and young people with autism • Have exceptional and adaptive communication skills • Have excellent organisational skills – for yourself and others • Be able to use ICT effectively Timeline of Recruitment: Closing date: Monday24th February 2024 Interview date: Friday 7th March Please APPLY now or contact Kirsty at Blackstone Recruitment
