As the Quality Engineer, you will be supporting one or more significant projects such as STEP or LIBRTI for example, a £200m endeavour in fusion fuel capability development for the UK. You will play a pivotal role in development and implementation of project specific quality assurance and control processes which will ensure that both the project and product meet the stated requirements; Providing expert advice and support throughout, maintaining regular interaction with and influence of the key stakeholders, including the project team and external suppliers. Additional Responsibilities: Acting as the lead for the quality related project and operational activity. Developing Project Quality Management Plans covering both tangible (i.e. manufactured items) and intangible products (i.e. information/documentation/skills). Establishing the project Quality Management System aligned to the existing policies, procedures and processes that ensure the project and products meet the quality expectations of the customer. Providing advice to managers and engineers on quality and technical matters, i.e. materials, bonding, specifications, codes, standards, inspection and testing etc. Plan and manage inspections and surveillance activities on-site and at suppliers to verify product quality. Plan, prepare and lead product quality reviews. Support the UKAEA process for identification and control of deviations and non-conformances.
