Your new company You will be joining the existing team of drivers within the transport team at a local authority. Due to a staff shortage, they are looking to add a Category D bus driver ASAP. Your new role You will be driving a variety of vehicles as part of the drivers pool, assisting on various runs across Edinburgh. This will include school runs, driving within the community and assisting with passengers where required. The hours are Monday to Friday, with a good opportunity for consistent overtime. There will be adequate downtime throughout the day when you will be able to do vehicle checks & maintenance. What you'll need to succeed You must be able to provide an up-to-date UK driving licence with Category D entitlement and ideally will have been working in a similar role, or for a bus service provider. As you will be dealing with vulnerable groups, you must be willing to undergo a Disclosure Scotland check and be able to deal with the public in a calm and respectful manner. We will pay you weekly PAYE with Hays with the option for accrued annual leave.
