Job Purpose
To assist a team of UK & International Recruitment Manager’s and Recruitment Officers in meeting institutional and College targets in relation to the University’s UK and International Student Recruitment strategies and agreed key performance indicators (KPI’s).To provide a friendly and efficient service to students and visitors from around the world. To manage student enquiries and implement conversion activities to increase the number of offers to registrations across all regions. To develop clear lines of communication with external stakeholders such as agents, schools and event organisers for a designated region. To carry out, on a limited basis, student recruitment activities in the UK and overseas. NOTE: the post will nominally work to a specific geographic region which may be rotated on a periodic basis to give experience of different regional markets. Main Duties and Responsibilities 1. Act as first point of contact for overseas agents, counsellors and students. To respond swiftly and effectively to all enquiries, maintaining excellent customer-care skills at all times, ensuring any enquiries that cannot be resolved immediately are passed on to an appropriate person. To take ownership of the management of enquiries that have been referred due to their complex nature.2. Working with other Student Recruitment Coordinators (SRC’s), support the implementation and delivery of conversion activities across all regions making use of online webinars, web chats, social media etc amongst other activity and in line with conversion activity mapped out in annual Gantt Charts. Liaise with international students who are already engaged in the admissions process.3. Raising of Purchase Orders and tracking and maintaining budget sheets for multiple complex regional budgets on a monthly basis, reconciling commitments to expense, highlighting any potential semester overspend.4. Timely processing of agent commission, including liaison with overseas agents to ensure accuracy of claims and verifying student registrations before authorising payment.5. In collaboration with Colleges and the appropriate International Recruitment Manager, ensure reports for sponsors are collated and submitted to sponsors in a timely manner. Develop and improve sponsor reporting processes as necessary to ensure they are fit for purpose and provide best possible service to these key stakeholders.6. Support the delivery of on and off campus, and virtual, events, such as recruitment fairs, agent symposiums and high school counsellor events, through extensive logistical management. Specific duties include event and room bookings, liaising with external suppliers, hospitality bookings, transport arrangements, co-ordinating staff and student assistance and any other related items for events as appropriate.7. Maintain and create relevant recruitment databases. Provision and manipulation of data for presentation and reporting purposes to support informed decision making.8. Ensure recruitment presentation templates are kept up to date, and that all information included is current and relevant.9. Meet visitors to campus and give standard presentations to a range of audiences, including potential students and their parents, schools, colleges and other visiting groups/delegations as required.10. Travel overseas and in the UK when required (typically once per semester overseas) to represent the University at education fairs and other recruitment events providing information to prospective students, teachers and parents in a professional and friendly manner. Visit the offices of the University’s educational agents to brief staff on updates, interview prospective students and give presentations.11. Update country specific recruitment web pages on a regular basis using T4.12. Liaise with administrative and academic colleagues at all levels within the University and provide cover for other administrative team members during absence and assist in other sections of ER as departmental work patterns require Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experience Qualification / Knowledge Essential: A1 Ability to demonstrate the competencies required to undertake the duties associated with this level of post having acquired the necessary knowledge and skills in a similar role, or, Scottish Credit and Qualification Framework level 7 (Advanced Higher / Scottish Vocational Qualification level 3, Higher National Certificate) or equivalent, and experience of personal development in a similar role.A2 Detailed knowledge of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Desirable: B1 A second language Skills Essential: C1 Working knowledge of databases, PowerPoint, Excel, Word and web-based research. C2 Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills.C3 Excellent analytic and problem solving skills. Terms and Conditions Salary will be Grade 5, £25,138 - £29,605 per annum. This post is full time and open ended.
