We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Producer/Researcher to play a pivotal role in turbocharging our substantial YouTube and podcast audience, reporting directly to the Editor-in-Chief. You will be the driving editorial force behind our video and podcast output, ensuring guests and productions of the highest quality and maximising audience engagement. Key Responsibilities: Pitching ideas for videos daily based on evolving news stories and high-profile guests. Writing persuasive bids for both short-term news guests and long-term targets. Maintaining a detailed log of outgoing/in-process/concluded bids. Liaising with the Presenter and Studio team to book interviews both in person and online. Briefing presenters on a wide range of topics, from US politics to ancient philosophy, including calling in books from publishers and summarising arguments. Drafting scripted introductions and guest biographies. Fact-checking and proofing information from video with meticulous attention to detail. Drafting copy and identify visual assets to accompany videos e.g. clips, quotes, photographs etc. Monitoring the filming process and managing video release from the initial idea to audience feedback. Have primary responsibility for shaping the filmed product, advising on how it should be edited to produce the best, most engaging high quality product across all platforms. Liaising with the production team to ensure the optimal release "package" - headline, thumbnail, copy etc. Writing, editing, and scheduling all social media promotion for videos, including extended clips. Requirements Proven experience in show production, guest booking, and interview "packaging", preferably for online video platforms. A strong editorial sense with a keen eye for identifying compelling interview subjects and crafting engaging narratives. Deep interest and knowledge of politics, current affairs, and the intellectual landscape that UnHerd occupies. Excellent research and writing skills, with the ability to synthesise complex information into clear and concise briefs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with high-profile guests and internal teams.
