Role- Senior Training Officer

The Role
The Schools Financial Services Training Team within TEP are committed to delivering top-tier finance training to schools, academies, multi-academy trusts, and governors. We are excited to offer a position for a Senior Training Officer to join their dynamic team of trainers.
As a Senior Training Officer, you will be instrumental in enhancing the financial understanding and competency of Schools Financial Services clients. You will help design and manage the training curriculum, ensuring it meets current educational and financial standards. You will also be responsible for continually improving training programs using a variety of media and formats to maximise efficiency.
Due to the responsibilities involved, an Enhanced DBS check will be required. Flexibility to travel across Kent and Medway, and occasionally beyond, is essential. This includes the ability to transport training equipment and resources as needed.

Key Duties:
7. Collaborate with other Senior Training Officers to deliver the scheduled training program to school and academy staff, following current course outlines and employing effective teaching methods.
8. Enhance and promote E-learning and online training tools to improve efficiency for Schools Financial Services.
9. Collate and assess the audit of staff skills, ensuring timely and effective training for staff using various methods.
10. Review and assess training courses, recommending improvements to the Training Lead Officer, and manage the design, development, and testing of updated materials.
11. Assist with contracts, including urgent and high-risk ad hoc contracts, as agreed with the Service Delivery Manager. Provide financial management advice and support to all schools, especially those in financial difficulty, on budget preparation, monthly monitoring, and account closure.
What we need from you
12. Demonstrated ability to train and develop others, ideally within a school finance setting
13. Experience and knowledge of SIMs, FMS6 or Bromcom Finance accounting systems is highly desirable
14. Strong understanding of School financial controls and procedures
15. Excellent research and data analysis skills
16. Good IT literacy, particularly Zoom, Teams and Teams Live
17. Excellent time-management and organisational skills
18. Excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written
