Working in the Maintenance Department, the jobholder will be part of a technical team providing support on all technical aspects of the Factory's production operation, undertaking maintenance, repair and fault recovery on assembly and test equipment. Other responsibilities will include installation of production line equipment including jigs, fixtures, and machines that ensures maximum productivity, efficiency, quality, and reliability in a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Part of a team responsible for the maintenance of production line and bespoke equipment including:
* TPM of all equipment on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly basis.
* Proactively oversee the critical spares and replenishment.
* Conscientious equipment repairs ensuring the highest standard of workmanship.
* Safety conscious individual with experience in lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
* Assisting with NPD project equipment delivery and commissioning:
* Installation of line fixtures and equipment.
* Calibrations of line equipment.
* Manufacture and installation of line workstations.
* Experience in vision systems and basic principles.
* Fault analysis and investigations on production line equipment including:
* Carrying out RCA on bespoke machinery.
* Carrying out RCA on bespoke jigs/fixtures/solder and extraction units.
* Electrical fault finding on relay logic systems.
* Electrical fault finding on soft/start drive systems.
* Assisting Controls Engineering and developing own knowledge of PLC programs.
* Breakdown support on PLC programs including Beckhoff/Omron/Siemens.
* Appreciation of ladder logic.

Specific responsibilities and authorities are defined in procedures relevant to the role.

* Time served Electrical/Mechanical tradesman.
* Hands-on background of mechanical engineering, tooling, assembly, etc.
* Analytical and methodical approach to work.
* Able to develop a thorough understanding of all aspects of maintenance and machine requirements.
* Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving capability.
* Able to interact and communicate effectively with staff from a variety of business functions.
* Driven, self-motivated, and pro-active.
List All Required Education/ Qualifications/ Training:
* Knowledge of Automation/Electrical/Mechatronics e.g., Machine Electrical I/O, PLCs, Electro Pneumatics, Vision Sensors, etc.
* Knowledge of production documentation, including Electrical and pneumatic system drawings.
* HNC in relevant engineering discipline Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics.
* Good PLC knowledge.
