Job Role:
Support a Year 5 pupil with Autism who finds the classroom challenging, providing structured and adaptive learning support.
Work closely with the Class Teacher to reshape tasks and create chunked learning opportunities.
Implement and encourage regulating activities to help the child engage with learning.
Promote an inclusive and supportive learning environment within the Primary School .
Communicate effectively with teachers, SENCO, and parents to monitor progress.
Assist with general Teaching Assistant duties across the Key Stage 2 (KS2) curriculum.
Required Skills and Experience:
Previous UK TA or Teaching Assistant experience in a school setting is essential.
Experience working with children with Autism and supporting their individual needs.
Knowledge of the National Curriculum and Key Stage 2 (KS2) framework.
Ability to take initiative, reshape tasks, and provide structured support.
Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent.
