Are you an experienced communications professional wanting to be part of a pro-active, strategic and creative communications team, working across the largest council partnership of its kind in the country, where no two days are the same?
We are looking for a dynamic Communications Lead to work across major projects in the Boston Borough, East Lindsey and South Holland region of Lincolnshire.
This role is for an initial 12-month period (due to a secondment within the team) with the possibility of the period being extended to 2 years.
Working closely with our Communities colleagues across the Partnership, the successful candidate will use their expertise and knowledge to provide high quality communications advice and support, leveraging the latest skills and approaches to social media and media relations activity.
The main duties of this role include:
* Lead on specific communications projects covering all service areas, ensuring comprehensive communications campaigns, strategies and plans are in place and supporting key members and officers to reach their goals.
* Manage the delivery of effective engagement and communication activities by providing expert and robust advice and guidance to officers and elected members, enabling them to fulfil their roles as decision makers and/or community leaders.
* Manage the monitoring and analysis of information and data relating to engagement activities, ensuring robust and auditable documentation for inclusion in annual reports and for contribution to service improvements with services.
* Develop excellent working relationships with CMT, senior managers, and elected members including Portfolio Holders and Leaders and to offer advice, guidance and support on tactical external and internal communications and the media. Provide tactical advice to CMT and elected members on the management of difficult or sensitive issues.
Previous experience in a communications or media environment is required. This role adopts hybrid and agile working meaning you will be able to work outside of the office; however, the need to travel across the sub-region for events and meetings will be required on occasion.
This position is a shared role within the South and East Lincolnshire Councils Partnership (SELCP) and forms part of the S113 agreement between the participating partnership Councils in accordance with the Memorandum of Agreement 1st October 2021.
