The Cheshire and Merseyside Cancer Alliance has an exciting opportunity to support the Diagnostic Programme in Cheshire and Merseyside. We are looking to expand our team to transform cancer outcomes for the population of Cheshire and Merseyside as well as to support the planning and delivery of all diagnostic tests in the region, thus impacting cancer and non-cancer care.
Position: Diagnostic Senior Analyst – Band 8a 1.0 WTE permanent post.
The post-holder will form part of the Business Intelligence Team at the Cancer Alliance but will have a primary focus on delivering against the analytical needs of the Cheshire and Merseyside Diagnostic Programme and Networks.
Please be aware that this is a hybrid role and will require working at the Cancer Alliance base 2 days each week with the remainder being remote working. Applications cannot be considered for those who are unable to attend in-person.
The Senior Diagnostic Analyst will contribute to the leadership of the analytical team and BI function within the Cheshire & Merseyside Cancer Alliance (CMCA), specifically leading the work related to the Diagnostic Programme. They will lead in the provision of a strategic, expert, effective, and efficient analytical service to the Diagnostic Programme, CMCA, and system partners and stakeholders. The role will sit within the Corporate Services function of CMCA, reporting directly to the CMCA Head of Performance.
The role will include the following responsibilities:
1. To identify and specify information needs, developing solutions to meet those needs for the benefit of the Diagnostic Programme, CMCA, and key partners and stakeholders across the C&M system.
2. Provision of analysis and interpretation of highly complex information; advising on appropriate use of information to improve diagnostic performance across the Cheshire and Merseyside Health System.
