Able to use own initiative Able to work well with and be able to relate to children The office manager we appoint can expect to: Support the Head Teacher in planning, managing, and delivering school business and administrative services, including implementing Trust policies and procedures. Develop, review, and improve administrative systems to optimize efficiency and integrate central practices into school operations. Lead and manage school-based administrative staff, overseeing recruitment, induction, training, and probation processes. Oversee financial administration, including the collection, reconciliation, and banking of funds, managing school meal registers, seeking additional funding opportunities, and monitoring contracts. Manage human resources tasks such as attendance tracking, return-to-work interviews, sickness reviews, maternity/paternity requests, and maintaining accurate staff records, ensuring compliance with Trust and statutory requirements. Maintain and oversee the Single Central Record, safeguarding procedures, and staff training registers, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date. Handle admissions processes in collaboration with the Local Authority, including monitoring places, facilitating transitions, and managing appeals. Ensure effective office and reception services, addressing inquiries, managing stock, and administering school clubs, trips, and lettings. Provide administrative support for governance, including minuting meetings, maintaining records of training and attendance, and ensuring compliance with statutory and Trust requirements. Support compliance with statutory reporting, school website updates, and preparation for audits. Facilitate effective communication of Trust policies to staff and contribute to their implementation across the school. Visits to our school are encouraged and warmly welcomed by appointment.
