Job Title: MIG Welder
Pay Rate: £15.21ph Overtime available at 1.3/1.5 and x2
Location: Wolverhampton
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:30 AM - 4:15 PM; Friday, 7:30 AM - 12:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
1. Interpret technical drawings and follow detailed written instructions to ensure precision in welding tasks.
2. Work with a variety of materials, including rebar, to produce high-quality welded components.
3. Adhere to tight tolerances of up to 5mm to meet strict quality standards.
4. Prepare and set up tools and equipment required for welding jobs efficiently.
5. Coordinate with the Works Supervisor to arrange parts for the welding process.
6. Execute MIG welding of bars in accordance with specifications and drawings.
7. Maintain accurate counts of finished products and prepare them for shipment.
8. Manually lift and stack finished products, utilizing overhead cranes for heavier items.
9. Read and refer to work-related documentation, including work orders and technical drawings.
10. Operate additional machinery within the workshop as required to support overall production needs.
About You:
1. Proven experience in MIG welding is essential.
2. Strong ability to interpret technical and engineering drawings.
3. Exceptional attention to detail to ensure high-quality outcomes.
4. Capable of performing physically demanding tasks and lifting heavy items.
5. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing schedules and priorities.
6. Positive attitude with strong teamwork skills.
