An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent role of Occupational Health Lead Nurse at NHS Golden Jubilee.
NHS Golden Jubilee Occupational Health Service provides professional, confidential and impartial specialist Occupational Health services and advice for employees at work. This service extends and also supports a 3rd Party organisation within the Public Sector.
You will be responsible for managing, developing and promoting partnership working with all stakeholders at local, regional and national level, to include all aspects of OH specialist nursing practice, business planning, policy development, research and quality assurance.
You will engage with a complex array of networks, groups and individual practitioners in the course of this work. This will include policy makers at a national level where the post-holder should develop a prominent role in discussing and debating standards, systems and processes for the future of occupational health.
You will lead, directly line manage and develop circa the Occupational Health Service multi-disciplinary team consisting of 5 whole time equivalent staff, including nursing, and support staff being professionally accountable for these staff. As the OH lead you will have close working relationships with the internal Physiotherapy team who support staff with MSK issues and Nursing teams within the wider organisation.
Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
Registration on Part 1 and Part 3 of the NMC register is essential as is management experience. Excellent prioritisation, organisation, negotiation and communication skills are essential as is the ability to work under pressure. This is a challenging but exciting role. Excellent line management and Directorate support is well established.
