Polypal UK, who are one of our trusted brands are looking for a dedicated and experienced Head of Repair and Maintenance to join their busy and successful team to oversee all aspects of the repair and maintenance operations. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the repair & maintenance team Ensure efficient and effective service delivery across all facilities and assets. Develop and implement maintenance strategies Enhance the reliability and performance of equipment, machinery, and buildings. Coordinate and oversee preventative and corrective maintenance programs Ensuring compliance with safety standards and industry regulations. Monitor and manage maintenance budgets Ensuring cost-effective solutions while maintaining high-quality standards. Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and contractors. Track and report on performance metrics related to repair and maintenance activities to senior management. Identify areas for improvement and recommend innovative solutions to optimise operations. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations by conducting regular inspections and audits. Essential Skills/qualifications/experience Significant experience in managing FM or R&M teams is essential with ideally at least 5 years' experience at this level of seniority. With longevity demonstrated through previous employment, the ideal candidate will have experience leading and aligning a team and have excellent communication/customer service skills. Must be a good team player and an effective communicator and have an ability to address customer needs effectively and build customer relationships. Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills. Excellent attention to detail aligned with a proven understanding of budget control.
