Due to this success and significant sustained growth, they are now recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join their successful team.\n\nThe Mechanical Fitter Role:\n\nTo carry out assembly and detail fitting of special purpose machinery supplied to the Automotive, Medical, Food and Plastic industries.\n\nAssemble and fit the mechanical elements of machines, dealing with rectification work and engineering change as appropriate.\n\nLead projects appointed to you throughout the build stage on the shop floor.
\nAssist in the commissioning and development of machinery once it has been assembled and powered up.\n\nComplete basic machining and fabrication of parts as necessary.\n\nMaintain production build documentation and complete forms as required by in-house procedures.\n\nLiaise with in-house personnel as required to resolve build and design issues.\n\nCarry out machine service and upgrade work to existing machinery, often at customers site\n\nDuring the course of delivering equipment, it may be necessary to work off-site at customer's facilities both in the UK and overseas, therefore good presentation in front of customers is essential and the flexibility to periodically work off-site is required.\n\nThe Candidate:\n\nAn experienced Mechanical Fitter with sound knowledge and understanding of assembling machinery and automation equipment.\n\nThe ideal candidate will have completed an appropriate recognised engineering apprenticeship with corresponding qualifications.\n\nAbility to read and understand engineering drawings is essential.\n\nExperience of building special purpose machinery or similar precision mechanical machinery\n\nGood knowledge & understanding of mechanical principles.\n\nExperience of general machining\n\nExperience & understanding of pneumatic systems.\n\nKnowledge & experience of electrical wiring, with appropriate qualification would be an advantage.\n\nAt times in order to support customer requirements it may be necessary to work extended hours (overtime) it will be expected that candidates will be able to work reasonable overtime when required.\n\nApply: \n\nTo apply for this position please submit an up to date CV or contact Maisie on (url removed)
